Typical structure of xylan from beech wood (schematic)
Xylan isolated from beech wood of high and reproducible quality. The xylose content is about 82%+ (determined by HPLC after chain degradation by acid hydrolysis). The average weight molecular weight (Mw) is about 8,000 - 10,000 g/mol of low polydispersity.
